MAPA Turbine was recently awarded the order to complete the overhaul of an FT8 combustion set, including spares.
Two weeks ago, we shared an update on the liner repairs. Today, we’re highlighting the overhaul of the FT8 fuel nozzles.
Following initial cleaning, inspection, and testing, the nozzles underwent a complete overhaul, including defect repairs, liquid and airflow checks, and the reapplication of hardface and thermal barrier coatings.
All components have now been delivered to FT8 service partner KDN Global Gas Turbine Support and are with their customer; ready and on time for the next scheduled outage event.
